What a doll! Darla is a 3 1/2 year old, quiet, shy, sweet bundle of sunshine with a smile that can melt even the hardest of hearts. We had the pleasure of meeting her on our recent Superkids trip. She walked into the room with a cute little outfit & special hair bow, gummy bears in hand and b-lined it straight for the little red car. Her caregiver said that the car is one of her favorite toys.
Once on her little red car she ventured just a little closer to Keely. Over the next few minutes she warmed up enough to try the special fruit snacks we had to share. She even traded her gummy bears for them! How sweet of her to share with us!
Darla is suspected to have mild cerebral palsy (and wears braces with sweet Minnie Mouse slippers over), she is doing well and can walk, run, and climb stairs. She asked the caregiver why she was taking her shoes off when Keely removed them to examine her. Braces and slippers off she then decided to nuzzle against Keely on the mat. Even though she was shy, she continued to pay close attention to what we were doing. We had so much fun stacking cups together.
This little sunshine is so precious. She is in search of her forever family. She is looking for a place to call home with a mommy & daddy to nuzzle, stack cups and ride little red cars…. Could this be you?
