This is Howie. He is 3 years old and I think I'll let him speak for himself:

He has anal atresia and some related issues. He has received some treatment in China, but will also need some treatment once he is home. We have an initial review by a renowned surgeon which we can share with interested families. He gave a very positive report about this sweet little guy!
Howie's caregivers say he is a very smart little boy. His medical needs have kept him from being able to keep up with his peers in some areas, but he learns new things very quickly. He walks and runs. He understands and follows commands. He blows kisses and says hello and goodbye.
