Boy, Mario sure is one cute kid! And sweet, and so easy to work with! We just missed getting to celebrate his 4th birthday when we saw him in November. We’ve met Mario before, and since that last visit he’s gotten an adorable pair of glasses that are helping with some of his vision issues.

We also learned that Mario has moved into our partner agency’s Children’s Home since our last visit. He is now getting regular speech and occupational therapy. His caregivers told us that with encouragement is he becoming more confident in trying new things, and things that are more challenging to him. He was very attentive during our evaluation and tried everything that we asked of him.

One of Mario’s favorite things to do is play in toy cars that he can ride in. His caregivers told us he can also ride a bike. He loves playing in water and doing simple puzzles. He told me that his favorite food is candy!

Mario has Persistent Hyperplastic Primary Vitreous (PHPV), strabismus, nystagmus, amblyopia, and some delays. Could he be your son? Please contact Mary Chapman at mary.chapman@gladney.org to learn more about sweet Mario.
