Superkids Team
Superkids is a humanitarian aid initiative within the Asia Waiting Child Program of the Gladney Center for Adoption. Our goal: to improve the lives of children in Chinese orphanages via adoption advocacy, medical and rehabilitation services. Starting as a tiny team providing services to special needs children in a single facility in Shanghai in 2007, we've grown to a broad coalition of physicians, early childhood development specialists, teachers and volunteers who've aided 500 children in orphanages across China.
Hunter was a 9 year old boy the advocacy team got to meet. He was very shy and reserved on the first day. When we tried to find out why we were told he was embarrassed by his hand. He sat back most of the morning and just seemed to take everything all in and check us out it was not until after lunch he opened up.

Harper is another little girl the advocacy trip got to meet. She was very shy the first day the team was with her and it might have been because her foster mom was with her the whole time. You could tell she was very attached to her foster mom, hugging and sitting on her lap almost the whole day. Her foster mom did tell us that she is a nice, sweet girl who can write with both her left and right hands. She added that she is very independent and a happy little girl.

It's so hard to believe that today was our final day here in Taiwan. What an amazing day it was! We spent the day with some adorable sibling groups and a couple other children, heard the most contagious laughter and got to watch some Lego geniuses.

We had an absolutely amazing and jam-packed day at Chung Yi. We met many wonderful social workers and of course adorable kids. We saw some young ones and some school aged ones. We saw some girls and some boys. Some shy and some outgoing and talkative. We saw them all and we loved every second of it.
