I was very excited when I got the call from Gladney telling me it was time to fly to Guatemala to pick up my baby girl. She had been cared for up until that point by a wonderful foster care family. Although I had been sent pictures of my baby at three months and five months, nothing compared to the joy and excitement I felt when seeing her in person and getting to hold her in my arms. Then I was anxious to get my beautiful daughter home and start our lives together.

Adoption to me is another chance at life. My adoptive family has been loving and welcoming to me ever since they met me. My adoptive mother cared for me as if I were her biological child. My mother provided many opportunities for me to grow and succeed while cheering me on.

About Bethany

Bethany is a smart, hard-working, confident young woman who will be attending Walters State Community College in the fall. During her school years, Bethany participated in choirs, played soccer, and was a member of SKILLS USA where she did many volunteer activities. Bethany, also, works part-time in a restaurant. She is outgoing and makes friends easily. Bethany is sure to accomplish great things in her future.
