Franklin is a healthy (almost) 3-year-old boy from the Dominican Republic with a cheerful spirit and a natural curiosity about the world around him. He enjoys exploring outdoors, joining in activities with other children, and especially looks forward to playtime and mealtime. Franklin shows empathy toward others and engages easily with those around him.
He is meeting developmental milestones for his age—throwing a ball with precision, imitating actions, and following simple instructions. Franklin is beginning to express himself in 2–3 word sentences, recognizes clothing by its use, and can name a few primary colors. He enjoys coloring (even if the lines don’t quite contain him yet!), holds a pencil with confidence, and can sort objects by color.
Franklin’s joyful personality and steady growth shine through in all he does.
Adoptive parents travel to the Dominican Republic to complete the legal adoption process, offering a unique opportunity to spend meaningful, uninterrupted time together as a family. Because cultural connection is deeply valued, families remain in country for approximately 4–6 months (sometimes longer). This extended stay allows for intentional bonding with your child while also experiencing daily life and culture in a rich and personal way.
