Families or individuals interested in learning more about the process to foster or adopt from the Texas State Foster Care System are invited to a Free Adoption Expo on April 7, 2018. The Expo will be held from 1 p.m. til 4 p.m.

At the Expo, there will be several local area Foster Care and Adoption Agencies available to speak with you about their programs and requirements. A panel of adoptive parents and an adoptee will also share their stories so you can understand the adoption journey.

Multiple post adoption service providers will be in attendance such as equine, occupation, and play therapist as well as resources for navigating medicaid.

Whether you are interested in fostering to provide temporary support for a child, fostering to adopt with a chance to provide a permanent family, or adopting straight from the Foster Care system, this is a great place to start. Families who have already received placement can also attend to connect with post adoption services.
