Joshua, who prefers Josh, is an active teen with hopes of owning his own business someday! He likes school and loves to participate in classroom activities. His passion for photography showcases his creative side. Josh loves to draw and sketch in his spare time. Josh also loves sports of all kinds. His favorite sport is football, and he loves the Dallas Cowboys. He is happiest playing football and enjoys being the quarterback. Josh loves being outdoors and being a part of the team. He also loves animals, and he hopes to learn how to ride a horse. When inside, Josh enjoys playing video games such as Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda, which is his current favorite. He also enjoys listening to music such as Pop Smoke, Justin Bieber, and Cardi B. He enjoys going to parks and the Zoo and is always up for a trip to Starbucks or to get Mexican food. He likes to be around animals and knows he would enjoy going horseback riding. Josh is outspoken and very charismatic once he opens up to you. He loves to hear others laugh. It makes him happy to see others happy. Josh is looking forward to attending church and eating really good food with his forever family!
Josh’s forever family will be one who can provide him a stable and structured home environment for his daily life and routine. He will do well in a family who loves to be outdoors for games, sports, and swimming. Josh benefits from encouragement and consistency in his life. His family will continue to help him identify his feelings and talk through them as he grows. They will be patient and provide him the time he needs to become comfortable with others or new situations. He will thrive in a family who is nurturing and are good listeners. Joshua is an outspoken youth, and he needs a family who will hear him and be open to discussion. Josh also hopes his forever family has a dog who he can play catch with and care for.

Parent Adoption Training is a required course for parents who wish to adopt a child from the state foster care system. This three day competency-based program is designed to prepare prospective adoptive parents for the challenges of parenting children that have experienced past trauma. |
