Lyneric is a friendly youth who likes cars, playing outside, and riding his bike. He has a nurturing and caring personality. Lyneric shows this by his interest in his younger brother’s wellbeing and looking out for him, his brother is not a part of this adoption. Lyneric can be private and observant when he is not comfortable in a particular environment. He is quiet when he first meets someone who he doesn’t know, but slowly warms up and becomes talkative. Lyneric loves football, especially the Dallas Cowboys! He wants the opportunity to play football at school. Lyneric loves to eat Mexican food and crabs. He enjoys reading, listening to music, and watching YouTube videos. When Lyneric is off from school, you can find him playing basketball with the children in his home and neighborhood. He loves the pool and going swimming during the summer.
Lyneric deserves a family who is supportive and will help him grow to be successful adult. His family will have experience or knowledge in parenting. They will offer him the opportunities to participate in youth activities. Lyneric will benefit from a family who sets clear and consistent boundaries and offers positive reinforcement. He will require more structure and redirection when tasks are placed on him. Lyneric’s family will be understanding and patience. Parent Adoption Training is a required course for parents who wish to adopt a child from the state foster care system. This three day competency-based program is designed to prepare prospective adoptive parents for the challenges of parenting children that have experienced past trauma. |
