Introducing Hong Kong SuperKid: Veronica!

Written by Sarah Hansen | 7/2/25 7:24 PM

Veronica is a 4½-year-old girl with global developmental delays, soft dysmorphic features, and some deformities in her right hand. She is physically active and mobile—she walks and runs independently and participates fully in gross motor play.

Just like a typical little kid, she enjoys a wide variety of activities --both indoors and outdoors. Some of her favorites include riding a tricycle, swinging, building with Legos, and using her toy cooking set. She also spends time drawing, listening to stories, and practicing writing characters, so she’s definitely not letting her unique little hand keep her from anything she wants to achieve.

Veronica is very verbally expressive (quite the conversationalist!) and uses language confidently in her daily interactions. She is described as caring and social, often engaging warmly with both peers and adults. At school, she thoroughly enjoys learning and her teachers have affectionately given her the nickname of “little teacher” because of her eagerness to assist others.

The right family for Veronica should be ready to offer supports as she is already catching up developmentally and be ready with a whole library so they can read her as many stories as she wants. She is also quite the foodie, so get ready for some fun bonding over new recipes.
