Parent Quote

We were to pick up Irene the morning of 9/11/2001. But as fate would have it, we couldn't get to her till 9/12 as we had to drive. They kept her in a hospital till we arrived! It was such a scary time in the world, but we were soooo excited!!! As my husband kept saying, "the world isn't ending because God is still sending babies!!!" I then had to stay out of state for nearly two weeks with Irene and our 5-year-old Charlie. But it was so worth all we went through to get her. She truly completed our family and we can never thank Gladney or her birth mom enough.

From the Graduate

Adoption opened so many doors for my future. I would never have had my amazing adoptive family to raise me, build my values, and help me pursue my dreams. I never feel embarrassed for being adopted. I know that my birth mother loves me and wanted the best for me. I am grateful for the strong woman who choose adoption.

About Irene

Irene will attend college in the fall as an honors student. She would like to major in biomedical engineering and will go through rush!
