Meet Kellan, a Superkid

Written by Superkids Team | 5/3/21 12:48 PM

Just wait until you hear about the progress Kellan has made since we last met him in November 2019, in Taiwan! If you want to learn even more about Kellan, don't forget to tune in for our Facebook live presentation on Tuesday, May 4th!

Kellan is now 4 years old and is as lively and outgoing as ever. Kellan is also a curious young boy who loves snacking and playing games. Like many toddlers, Kellan used to fight over his toys but has recently shown much improvement with sharing.

He is now potty trained and will express his need for the bathroom although he still wears diapers to bed for the occasional 'accident'. Kellan loves his sleep and has his best days when he has had a full night's rest. We were also told that Kellan's ability to pay attention is getting better as he grows as well. Kellan has been diagnosed with ADHD and while he takes medication for asthma and epilepsy, he has not had a seizure in over 2 years. Doctor's previously noted Kellan may have abnormal hearing, but a recent scan showed normal hearing in both ears.

Kellan is able to speak directly if he does not like something, can remember his daily schedule, and has a normal daily living routine. Kellan typically speaks in short sentences and told us that he likes fried chicken and French fries! Interested in learning more? Please contact superkids@gladney.org for more information!
