Meet Millie

If sunshine could giggle, it might sound a lot like Millie.

Seven-year-old Millie from Thailand is bright, determined, and wonderfully herself. She has some developmental delays compared to her peers, but she also has something you can’t teach — a warm, magnetic joy that pulls people right in.

For families hoping to adopt a child from Thailand, Millie is a beautiful reminder that every child blooms in their own time — and sometimes the sweetest victories are the ones that take a little extra patience.

Millie’s Strengths & Personality

Millie may need a little extra time to master certain skills, but she approaches life with a “let’s try!” attitude and a proud smile when she succeeds.

She can:

  • Match colors with confidence
  • Count to 14 independently
  • Count 1–10 in English
  • Say her letters A through F
  • Understand questions and follow directions well

She is currently participating in speech therapy to support articulation and continues to make steady, encouraging progress.

Millie is cooperative, helpful, and genuinely kind-hearted — the kind of child who wants to lend a hand simply because it feels good to help. She thrives on praise, beams when she accomplishes something new, and has a quiet determination that makes you root for her instantly.

What Millie Loves

Life with Millie includes color, movement, and plenty of joyful energy.

She loves:

  • Colors: red, blue, and green (a bold and confident palette!)
  • Animals: cats and elephants — because why choose just one favorite?
  • Food: egg noodles are a big win…veggies are NOT
  • Activities: dancing, sliding, running, drawing, painting, and enthusiastically following along with music videos

Whether she’s creating a masterpiece or turning a living room into her own dance stage, Millie brings enthusiasm that’s contagious.

Adoption from Thailand: Could You Be Millie’s Family?

For families exploring Thailand adoption, the process follows Hague Convention guidelines to ensure ethical and structured international adoption from Thailand. Families open to special needs adoption and welcoming a waiting child in Thailand often find the journey deeply meaningful.

Millie is waiting for a family who will:

  • Celebrate her progress — big and small
  • Provide continued developmental and speech support
  • Offer patience, encouragement, and unconditional love
  • Laugh with her, cheer for her, and believe in her

She also has a Gladney $5,000 From Hope to Home Grant available to help offset adoption expenses for the family matched with her.

Millie doesn’t need a perfect family. She needs a committed one. One who sees her sparkle, embraces her steady growth, and isn’t afraid of a little extra noodle night.

If you’ve been considering whether you might adopt a child from Thailand, perhaps Millie is the little voice (and giggle) you’ve been waiting to hear.
