MATCHED!!
Amy recently celebrated her 6th birthday. She is described as a thoughtful and affectionate child. Amy has given herself the nickname ‘NiNi’ because her sister has a nickname, and she thinks the replication of two sounds is cute. Amy often follows her big sister around and is usually not too far behind her. Amy’s developments are comparable to children her age. She is medically healthy, demonstrates strong self-care skills, and is doing well at school. Recently during a card matching game, Amy was able to count the cards (how many she had won), identify pictures, correctly find its match, and obey game rules. Great job, Amy! Sometimes Amy can present some stubborn tendencies. For example, she often demonstrates strong autonomy, and prefers completing tasks by herself instead of relying on help from others. Lately, her favorite hobby is cutting paper, as she has recently learned the correct way to use scissors. Amy has agreed to adoption and stated she would like to try a new home in a foreign country.
The sisters have primarily resided together since birth and are currently placed in the same foster home. It is expected these two girls will be adopted together. Abby and Amy get along well with each other and we have photos of them playing together. They occasionally argue over sharing toys, etc., but if you’ve ever lived with a sister at that age, you know it’s normal to fight and argue over things.
