MATCHED!!

We last met Kobe in Taiwan in November of 2019, and we are excited to announce we now have extensive updates to his file! Kobe is described as a sweet child who helps other children wipe their chairs and tables and is always ready to help his caregivers. We also know that he is a very curious boy who is quick to ask questions.

Since we last met Kobe, we learned that his emotional reactions are at times exaggerated and that he is learning through story books how to better express his mood and feelings to others. That being said, Kobe has recently exhibited more stable emotions than before and is generally cooperative on house rules and daily procedures. Kobe tends to enjoy his time at the children’s home and at school. He responds very well to redirection and guidance from caregivers.

Lately his favorite foods are pineapple, banana, and toast. Kobe attends group play therapy once per week to help him with interpersonal relations with peers and emotional expression.  His teachers say he has good concentration in class. Kobe also attends speech therapy once every 2 weeks to help him increase his vocabulary and reading speed. We previously thought Kobe may be color blind, but his doctor visit report from June 2020 noted normal hearing and eyesight, as well as color vision.
