When I heard through Texas Christian University that the Gladney Center for Adoption had a potential internship opportunity, I was curious to find out how they serve children. During my internship so far, I have learned Gladney keeps the best interest of the children in mind. I am so honored and grateful for this journey of serving here. I have observed genuine, caring individuals in every department, from Donor Relations to Marketing. From driving in the entrance and parking my car to walking the walls of Gladney, I have seen messages that symbolize the heart and passion of Gladney’s staff for the children they serve:

At Gladney, departments collaborate, in order to utilize everyone’s strengths. Gladney has built a community among their staff, in a way that makes everyone feel valued. On each team, there is a lot of communication to ensure high quality of projects. Everyone truly loves what they do and seeks to be part of helping Gladney continually improve. On the personal side, some staff members have shared with me that they have loved ones who are connected to Gladney through adoption and have shared how that brought hope into their lives. Guests on campus often say they have always heard good things about Gladney and that Gladney helped their friends become a forever family for a child. 

I am thankful for the opportunity to intern with the Donor Relations team. It has been a pleasure to be surrounded by a huge, beautiful family of Gladney staff members. I will never forget my experiences and the compassion I felt during my time at Gladney.
