We consider the birth and placement of our baby girl as the most special and amazing event of our lives. Zan was our second Gladney adoption and even having gone through the process before with our beautiful son, it stands alone as an awesome blessed event. The selflessness of Zan's birth mother leaves me in awe to this day. As with our son, we look forward to reconnecting with the beautiful people that made our family possible. Zan's birth mother was a resident at the old Gladney campus and transferred to the new campus when it became ready to move in. Zan was the second baby to be born, missing to be the first, only by a few days.
From the Gladney
My family holds Gladney in such high regard and has great pride in our adoption roots. I have been in contact with my birth mother on social media and looking forward to connecting with her in the future.
Zan was a member of the Yellow Ribbon Club and was on the cross country and track team where she lettered in cross country as a sophomore at her high school. She enjoyed art, music and helping out with the mascot. Zan was active in her church as an active acolyte, Senior Server and a Treasure House and Children’s Ministries’ volunteer. Zan participated in the Volunteer/Shadow Program at a local hospital. Zan will attend college in the fall where she will pursue a degree in nursing.
