Written by Gladney Center | 2/8/25 12:26 AM

New Jersey is a state that thrives on family, resilience, and heart. From the bustling streets of Newark and Jersey City to the quiet neighborhoods along the shore, families here know what it means to show up for others. This summer, families in New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Utah have the opportunity to participate in the Superkids Adventure Program, a unique experience fostering connection and cultural exchange with children from Colombia, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

Applications are now open, but spots are limited—Apply today to secure your place in this meaningful program!

What is the Superkids Adventure Program?
Children from Latin America and Asia, ranging from school-age to teens, will stay with approved families for 2–3 weeks to experience daily family life and cultural exchange. During their time together, children and families build relationships, share experiences, and create lasting memories. While the children gain exposure to life in a family environment, families have the chance to learn more about each child's unique background, culture, and story.

This program also helps Gladney's team better understand the children’s personalities and needs, supporting their journey toward finding permanent, loving homes—whether through adoption or by connecting with other prospective families.

Why New Jersey Families Are a Great Fit
New Jersey is a place where communities come together, where neighbors support one another, and where families embrace meaningful opportunities to make a difference. Families in Newark, Princeton, Cherry Hill, Atlantic City, and beyond can:

  • Share everyday family moments—like pizza nights, beach walks, or game nights—that create lasting memories.
  • Provide a safe, welcoming environment where children feel valued and included.
  • Help advocate for children’s futures by sharing their stories and experiences with other prospective families.

This program isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence, patience, and building meaningful connections.

What It Means to Participate
For 2–3 weeks, participating families will:

  • Welcome a child from Colombia, the Philippines, or Taiwan into their home.
  • Share daily routines, offer encouragement, and create a supportive environment.
  • Learn about the child’s unique personality, interests, and culture.
  • Support the child’s long-term adoption journey, either by pursuing adoption or advocating for their future placement.

Every family plays an essential role—whether providing a temporary home or helping to connect children with permanent families.
