Rylan is one of the boys we met on our last trip to China that I've been looking forward to introducing to you! There are so many great things about this little boy!

Rylan is 10 years old. He is a very smart little boy whom the caregivers described as "the king of the class" at school. He can read and write. He is a little shy around strangers but warms up fairly quickly.

Rylan is deaf and received a cochlear implant in Aprilof 2014, he is undergoing therapy and learning to speak. He went to a school for the deaf until recently but now attends public school. He indicated that the change was difficult for him since he had to make new friends.

He enjoyed playing with the Lego sets we had with us and even combined sets so that he could build more complex things. He also enjoyed playing with balls and throwing them back and forth.
