Adoption Advice

Question:

Share a specific memory that sticks out in your mind about your Gladney adoption story. How did you feel, and what did it mean to you?

Answer:

Mike: We worked so hard to raise the funds to achieve our adoption dream, and when we received the Gladney grant, it boosted us and gave us motivation to continue to fund-raise and reach our goal.  

Astra: The day we were matched with our daughter’s birth mom I couldn't believe it! I was so excited.  I kept telling our case worker, "Shut up! What!? No, really! OMG! Shut up! Can't be!" She remained professional and continued to share the news over the phone with Mike and me. I thought it was cool that I could just be myself with her, and she just took it in stride.
