Her tiny hands reach for new discoveries like leaves and rocks and her little feet run as she catches bubbles. Two is such a fun age filled with sparks of joy and a growing sense of independence. Sometimes her hands will curiously dismantle small toys and other times they will reach for a hug once she knows you well enough.

Winnie is cautious with new people—including her peers--and is learning how to interact with the world around her, but she is eager to learn and is making great strides as she navigates her surroundings with support from her caretakers. Like almost all 2-year-olds, Winnie shows she’s upset by screaming, stomping, and crying, but will calm down after about 15 minutes.
While Winnie has diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, and Mixed Receptive-Expressive Language Disorder, she can use words and is showing everyone around her that she is ready to keep improving. Her potential is limitless!
