Winslow is a cheerful and affectionate 4 ½ year old little guy who finds great joy in simple pleasures, especially playing with toy cars and watching his favorite cartoons—activities that are a comforting part of his daily routine. Occasionally, he talks to himself, offering a sweet glimpse into his imaginative inner world.

Winslow has delays in several areas, including gross and fine motor skills, speech and language, and cognitive development and was also diagnosed with sensory integration dysfunction and showed borderline delays in emotional, social, and attention-related functioning. Despite these challenges, Winslow’s bright personality shines through. He is outgoing and friendly, rarely shy around new people, but he can become anxious in unfamiliar environments. During these times, he looks to his caregivers for comfort and closeness, expressing his feelings through sounds and physical actions. He is sensitive to loud voices—he may freeze or tremble when scolded, highlighting his need for gentle, reassuring communication

He is already receiving weekly physical, occupational, and speech therapy. He attended early childhood intervention and is in preschool with an IEP. With continued support and nurturing care, Winslow is learning to navigate the world around him in his own unique and beautiful way. His family should be ready to guide him gently and get him the supports he needs so he can continue to reach his potential.
