The first time we met Jeannie (Jiji] we felt pure joy because our family of four was complete. Jiji was inquisitive, full of smiles, laughter, and always entertaining. We loved her so much and love her even more now. We are so proud of our beautiful senior.

From the Graduate

In my perspective, adoption is a wonderful thing to happen in a child's life. When I was adopted, I had a crossed eye, was malnourished. and neglected. However. growing up in a warm. carrying, and funny family changed everything for the better. Without being placed into a family, I wouldn't have had the chance to meet my friends, find interests in people, or realize my passions for learning languages. Adoption is so much more than taking in a child. Adoption is about love, nourishment, belonging, and curiosity.

Jiji is a member of the Harvey School graduating class of 2021. She is a member of the Japanese National Honors Society, has visited Japan, and sung in many choral groups. In college, she plans to major in Japanese and looks forward to studying abroad.
