To be a parent has been awesome and incredible. We are so grateful and honored that Karl's birth mother entrusted him to our care. He is a fine young man, kind, thoughtful, funny (at times even appropriately irreverent), loyal, respected, and loving. We hope Karl receives as much joy parenting his own children, as we have parenting him.

About Karl

Karl will attend NC State University in Raleigh, NC, and major in biology. His goal is to become a trauma surgeon. He was in the Health Sciences Academy during high school and interned at a local hospital. His was a member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society), National English Honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society. He volunteered with Little League baseball as an assistant coach, pet rescue/adoption, and was a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) at a free church-based medical clinic. Karl enjoyed playing on the high school varsity football team.
