We were very excited to adopt again. We first saw Katy when she was in a music class in the orphanage, clapping her hands and singing. We fell in love with this exuberant, blonde hair, blue eyed sweetie! Bringing her home was such a joy and she bonded almost instantly with her older sister. What fun it was to watch her jump right into family life. It was the first indication of the strength and tenacity of our spunky new daughter!

I was adopted as a baby, so I have always been a part of this family. Over the years we celebrated the fact that I came into the family through adoption, but really, we have just been family and that’s that. Our family has been close and had lots of special and fun memories. I am looking forward to college and where God will lead me.

ABOUT KATY

Katy has always had a love for animals and found a niche with horses. She learned to train, ride, and care for her equine friends and currently owns Texas Rose, a registered American Quarter horse. Her competitive nature was satiated by softball, playing from age seven through high school varsity on various recreational and club teams. Katy also enjoys photography, reading, and most any kind of board or computer game. We look forward to seeing how God uses her experiences and the desires of her heart to direct her life journey!
