Peering out into the hallway from our hotel room, I recognized our daughter right away and asked the caretaker holding her if this was YuanXiao. She repeated the name, nodded, and handed her to me. Then she said, “tall baby, tall mama!” I couldn’t take my eyes off her as I examined every inch of the precious gift I was holding. What a beautiful baby girl! Over the next 18 years, we have watched Liana YuanXiao blossom from a beautiful baby to an intelligent, thoughtful, and beautiful woman both inside and out – and of course, tall!

From the Graduate

Being adopted through Gladney has been a blessing to my family and I. As a child, I enjoyed the many events that Gladney has hosted. I'm so excited to begin the next phase of my life.

About Liana

Liana was a member of the National Honor Society, a National Merit Scholar, and an AP Scholar with Distinction. She served as the President of HOSA for two years while participating in volleyball and cheer at her school. She will study economics and sociology on a pre-law tract.
