MATCHED!!
Maya is three and a half years old with a radiating smile! She is described as a lively little girl with strong curiosity. We have many pictures and videos of Maya that show her enjoying her day-to-day routine as well as participating in physical therapy sessions. Several videos particularly show her determination and enjoyment upon being successful.
While performing matching games she continued to try without giving up. Maya likes fish, leafy vegetables, and sweet potatoes but is not a picky eater. She also prefers to feed herself. She wears diapers throughout the day and night and actively expresses when it needs to be changed. Maya enjoys listening to music while singing along and enjoys playing with peers once she’s gotten to know them.
Maya wears corrective shoes due to lower limb stiffness and in the last year has learned to stand and walk on her own! A video from October 2020 shows her taking 9 steps on her own. Great job Maya! She has been known to ask her caregivers to go on walks and uses a walker to assist her throughout the day. Although she has developmental delays, it has been noted that her speaking ability continues to improve.
