MATCHED!!

We are so excited to introduce you to Jace! We have lots of adorable photos of 7-year-old Jace that we can’t share publicly, so please be sure to join our Taiwan Waiting Child Advocacy group on Facebook to see them. 

Jace is a 7-and-a-half-year-old boy who is described as having a vibrant personality and who likes to interact and chat with others. He is curious about many things and has a motivation to explore. When he is interested in something, he will urgently want to learn more. He likes exercises and is good at riding a bike and running. He also likes to play with Legos. We have a video of Jace riding his skateboard and for a 7-year-old, he is quite talented and fearless! When it comes to food, Jace can be a bit picky. He prefers snacking rather than having a full meal, and will take his time, often around 30 minutes to finish his dinner.  

Jace was born with no abnormal findings at birth. An early comprehensive evaluation in 2016 assessed Jace to have language developmental delay and suspected cognitive and social emotional developmental delay but his 2018 comprehensive evaluation reported that his language had improved significantly and that his language, cognition, and fine motor functions had reached developmental milestones. Most recently, Jace has been assessed to have suspected developmental delay and suspected ADHD, but no medication was recommended. Jace received speech and occupational therapy once a week since 2016. The interventions stopped in August of 2020 as he enrolled in elementary school. He is now attending mainstream classes in school and has caught up with his peers in the course.
