At just 4 ½ years old, Willa is already showing the world what it means to be strong-willed and full of personality; it’s that kind of spirit that will help her reach the goals she sets for herself, one step at a time.
Willa enjoys Peppa Pig and Dora the Explorer, and she loves puzzles—so much so that she can complete an 80-piece puzzle in just 15 minutes! Her focus shines when she’s doing something she enjoys, and her favorite way to learn is when a playful activity or small reward is part of the process.
Diagnosed with global developmental delays, Willa is currently enrolled in Pre-K and receives extra support both at school and through weekly special education home visits to help support her. These services have helped her grow and learn; she’s continually showing improvement. She’s made a smooth transition to school life—adapting well and even making new friends along the way.
Willa can speak in 5-word phrases and is encouraged to use full sentences more often. While she sometimes needs support with enunciation, she’s making steady progress and benefits from patient, consistent encouragement. Like many children her age, she needs a bit of help with self-care tasks like brushing her teeth or getting dressed; and she may move at a slower pace, but when she’s gently guided and not rushed, Willa thrives.
Willa is a little girl with strong ideas about what she wants, but responds well to gentle and engaged parenting. With the right support, loving guidance, and space to grow, there’s no doubt she’ll continue to grow into her full potential.
