More Texas Children Now Leaving Foster Care Than Entering

Find me on:

Have you heard the wonderful news?! The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services announced that "new state figures show more children are leaving foster care for safe, permanent homes than are entering the child welfare system, as adoptions surged past 6,000 for the first time."

One thing that I would ask you as we enter this holiday season is to please consider how you might be able to help a child in need. Adoption is certainly one way and that's a way that we get really excited about at Gladney. We can certainly help you with that. There are other ways to help a child in need too. You can advocate for children and you can help donate to children in need. You can also call your state representative and tell them "great job" and "keep doing the work that you're doing on behalf
of children and families."

But also just advocate for kids in foster care. One way you can do that is to spread our social media messages (click on the social media icons at the top of this blog post).

Thank you so much for celebrating this good news with us today!
