Through our Virtual Superkids program we were able to meet Nick over Zoom
recently. We are excited to share updates from this meeting!
It was great to be able to “meet” 8 year old Nick during our zoom session! He shared with us that his favorite thing to do is listen to music . . . and for all you K-pop fans… he likes Black Pink! Nick says his favorite food is fried chicken and that he wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
Nick needs a permanent adoptive family. He is currently living with a foster family and we also had a chance to meet Nick’s foster mom. She told us that Nick is a sweet boy – he gets along well with others and helps with chores at home. She says he likes to be praised and she told us how Nick will bring her hot water for her tea in the mornings.
Nick loves art and doing crafts as well as stacking blocks and playing Jenga. During our recent Superkids virtual screening he was observed jumping, doing sit-ups, and playing with a ball. He is easily able to do all of these things and is very good at all activities!
Nick told us he does not enjoy academics as much as he enjoys art and PE, but, nonetheless he was able to do several double digit addition problems with ease during our virtual Superkids screening. He also matched block patterns and gave detailed descriptions when asked what was happening when he was shown pictures in a book.
If you think you could be the right family for Nick, please contact us at Superkids@gladney.org to review his profile.
To protect a child's privacy, Taiwan has strict rules limiting public photos of children. To see more photos of Nick, request to join Gladney's PRIVATE Taiwan Waiting Child Advocacy group on Facebook.
