Adoption Day was quite a trip, literally. After several days of travel, we met Nikolai for the first time in Russia. We were overwhelmed with pure joy of meeting our son. After a few visits, we had to board a plane without Nikolai until our second trip back to Russia to finalize the adoption. The return trip was filled with so many different emotions as everyone was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Nikolai at DFW airport. We had over 50 people waiting to meet him at the terminal. Nikolai has and continues to impact those around him. We are forever grateful for the family made possible by Gladney.
FROM THE GRADUATE
I love my adoption story of being born in Russia and sharing it with others. My life verse is Romans 8:31 "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
ABOUT NIKOLAI
Nikolai plans on attending a four-year university to study broadcast journalism with an emphasis on sports media. Nikolai played basketball, tennis, and golf at in high school.
