At Gladney, we believe that every child deserves not only a loving family, but a community of professionals who understand their unique needs. That’s why we’re excited to share that Gladney University’s new Learning Management System (LMS) is now offering NTI  Adoption Competency Training for both child welfare professionals and mental health providers.

Developed by the National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training Initiative (NTI), this program is designed to strengthen the skills and confidence of professionals working with children, youth, and families impacted by adoption, foster, and guardianship. It’s research-based, trauma-informed, and created specifically to promote healing and long-term stability.

We know that adoption is not a one-time event—it’s a lifelong journey. The emotional and psychological layers of that journey require support from individuals who truly get it. That’s why this training is so important. It equips professionals to walk alongside families with insight, compassion, and practical tools.

Here at Gladney, we’re committed to continuing education and best practices. Our team of therapists will all be completing this NTI training, which means every Gladney family working with our clinical team can feel confident they’re receiving trauma-informed, adoption-competent care.

We’re proud to lead by example and raise the standard of care for families in the adoption community. And we’re equally proud to now offer this training through Gladney University.

Whether you’re an agency partner, counselor, or mental health provider, we invite you to explore the NTI training now available through our LMS. Let’s grow together and better serve the families and children who need us most.
