Parent Quote
Every day for the last 18 years I have said to myself, "how did I get so lucky?" When Reagan's birth mother placed her in my arms, at three days old, my heart was full. My husband and I had waited for what felt like an eternity and now she was finally here! I remember every detail of that day like it was yesterday; the Gladney placement room, the mural behind us, the wonderful time spent with her birth mom and birth grandmother, the amazing Gladney staff, driving back to the hotel and holding her heart so close to mine. Now I wonder how 18 years could pass in the blink of an eye. She has grown into an amazing young woman, one who is smart, dedicated, compassionate and kind. We have been so blessed to have our daughter Reagan and are so very proud of her. We know she will accomplish great things and will touch many lives. We love you Reagan!
From the Graduate
I am so lucky that my birth mother chose adoption and that she placed me with my loving parents. I grew up knowing I was adopted, and I was always proud of it. It made me feel special. When my teachers would ask me to share a fun fact, I always shared that I was adopted. I wrote about it constantly. I think being adopted made me understand things faster than others, especially the concept of love. I have never doubted that love can span for miles and miles, because adoption taught me that and so many other things as well.
