I recently had the opportunity to attend Gladney University's simulcast of Empowered to Connect. Each speaker brought parenting with TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) to life.
Just like in Gladney's Pathways Training, there were so many great suggestions on connecting, empowering, and correcting. One of the speakers during the break, Cindy R. Lee, has written six children's books based on skills taught in TBRI developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. Davis Cross from the Institute of Child Development.
The skills include:
- The "redo"
- "Accepting no"
- Gentle touch
- Letting go of control
- Respect
- Listening and minding
Let us know which book(s) you have and if it has helped you teach the skill to your child!
