Mackenzie is a fun, sweet, and silly 9 year old. She has such a happy and fun personality – and a great smile. She was able to find humor in a lot of our activities together. As long as we made something a game, she was up for doing whatever we needed her to do! We have some really great photos from our trip that show off her personality!

We notice this every time we come. The kids in Taiwan are so incredibly loved. The staff at Cathwell want so badly for these children to find their families. They know that in some cases that will be hard.... really, really hard. But it doesn't stop them from trying. It doesn't stop them from pleading for us to help them help these kids.

After arriving in Taiwan Sunday night, we jumped right in Monday morning with a full day at Cathwel! We saw several children who we met in May – and if it is possible, they are even cuter and have made so much progress!

Big sister… oh you could see the love 10 year old May shared with her siblings. It was also very obvious that she had mothering characteristics – she would guide her siblings through the activities. She is quiet, yet sweet. As with a lot of older sisters, she seems very mature for her age. She beamed with a beautiful smile.

MATCHED!!
From the first moment this talkative 7 year old boy came into the room during our visit in May, it was apparent how special his relationship was with his foster dad. Maverick was excited to share with his foster dad all about his thoughts. As soon as he saw the Lego kits he was eager to pick one to try. All while telling his foster dad how excited he was and that at school he gets to put Legos together. He put the Lego kit together with little attention to the directions.
