We at Gladney along with the rest of the world have been following along with the devastating news about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We know this may bring up tough questions and feelings, particularly for our Russian and Ukrainian adoptees. Below are some resources that your family may find helpful. The first are some guidelines for how to support and discuss these events with your child, and the second are resources for providing support to Ukraine if your family wants to take some action and doesn’t know where to start.

Gladney’s Superkids Program is excited to share new updates on Aaron! Click here to Read his previous post. As of February 2022, Aaron is 10 years old. Over the past year, he has experienced growth emotionally, educationally, and behaviorally and has matured in his interactions and relationships with peers and adults. He responds to hugs, affection, and verbal encouragement.

Gladney Center’s Superkids program will be a group volunteer participant in the June 2022 Special Olympics in Orlando Florida!

We hope you will consider joining our volunteer group to help on-site at Orlando and Disney area venues of the Special Olympics. We are focusing our volunteer participation around the long weekend of June 4-7, 2022.

We are very excited to have just received the official referral paperwork for the family who will be adopting Kolt! You may recall his sweet photo from his first advocacy post in October of 2020.

Sunday, November 7^th marked the 150^th Anniversary of the New York City Marathon. What’s more, there were 11 charity runners representing #TeamGladney on the course and 3 additional supporters who also raised funds as part of #TeamGladney! Our team included adoptive parents, adoptive grandparents, and friends genuinely supporting the mission of adoption! To run the race, it took a great deal of courage and commitment. It took even more dedication and eagerness to advocate and fundraise in support of Gladney’s mission. #TeamGladney went above and beyond, raising nearly $50,000!
