Today we were at Cathwel, our third day seeing children and our first day at Cathwel for this trip. The children came into the room in a steady stream all day long.

We have new files of children from Taiwan. And I sort of kind of fell in love as soon as open Autumn's file. I'm going to have to get a little creative with the photos to be able to share them here, but that is why you need to join our private Facebook group where we can post pictures we cannot post publicly. We are planning to be able to meet Autumn when we go to Taiwan in April, but I didn't want to wait that long to introduce her here. This little one is cute, cute, cute!

We were able to meet with sweet, 10 year old, Archie again during our visit in the fall. Archie has been living in the same foster family since he was an infant, and it’s clear he has a good relationship with his foster mother. She told us that he is a polite, considerate, gentle boy who helps to care for the younger foster brother in the home.

We were able to meet brothers Kyle (10), Kristopher (9) and Kirk (5) during our trip to Taiwan in the fall. These brothers are full of fun!
Oldest brother, Kyle, is a little shy but warmed up and enjoyed playing ball games with us. He told us that he likes PE class and especially likes playing badminton. He is very close to Kristopher and often likes to find him at school during free time so they can play together. Kyle told us his favorite animals are dogs, birds, elephants, rhinos, and dinosaurs! Kyle is in the 5th grade and attends special education classes. Kyle lives in a foster family with Kristopher. Kyle has G6PD and delays.

Sweet, sweet little Magnolia! Her little smile was worth every bit of effort it took to coax it out of her. She was a little shy at first but warmed up with a little effort on our part. And her little face lights up when she sees someone she knows.

Today was our first day visiting children at Cathwel Service. We kept up a good pace throughout the day, meeting with 17 children total. Nine of the children we had never met before – and 8 still have their profiles in the preparation stage. Let me introduce you to a few of the new kiddos we met…
