MATCHED!! Meet 5 Year Old Nate (Taiwan)

Posted by Superkids Team on 3/29/23 9:08 AM

We are excited to introduce Nate! Nate was born in 2018 and is 5 years old.

Some of Nate's favorite activities include building blocks, playing with toy cars and outings to the local park to play on the oversized slide! Those who know Nate describe him as outgoing, lively and optimistic. He is not shy around new people and builds relationships quickly.

Nate resides with his foster mother, her grandfather, a 12 year old foster sister and 5 year old foster brother. He has a good relationship with his foster mother and often wants to cuddle with her. He enjoys talking with his foster brother and playing imaginary play house with his foster sister.

Virtual Superkids Trip to Taiwan

Posted by Superkids Team on 3/27/23 6:39 AM

We are planning another virtual Superkids “trip” to Taiwan! We will be using technology to get as close as we can to actually seeing 5 boys who are waiting for families. This gives us the opportunity to learn to know them in a way that goes beyond the information given to us in their files. It is not like seeing them in person, but it is the next best thing!

18 Years Later ...

Posted by Heidi Bruegel Cox on 11/30/22 1:00 PM

18 years ago, a child was left at Gladney’s door. I remember the day like it was yesterday. After what must have been a scary, traumatic birth, a brave woman swaddled her infant son, placed him in a crib manufactured from a box, and brought him to Gladney. We know she was watching over him to ensure he was safe and found, as several Gladney staff saw a car quickly drive off when they found the baby. It was clear the delivery did not take place in a medical facility, and the initial medical evaluation identified the signs of a difficult home birth.
